Without a doubt, pils (also called ‘pilsner’) is Germany’s favorite style of beer. Fans of this style of brewing enjoy the dry, bitter flavor and light color that is typical of the beers it produces. The name originates from the Bohemian town of Pilsen in the Czech Republic, where it was first produced in 1842, and we’ve been brewing this style of beer to perfection here in Bitburg since 1909. We lay claim to using the term "Pilsener" as an official designated beer style in Germany, way back in 1883.
And over the years it’s grown quite popular – we’re incredibly proud that Bitburger Premium Pils is a popular beer in bars throughout Germany.
Our straw-colored pilsner is crystal-clear and perfectly hopped, boasting a light taste and a lasting foam head with extra-fine bubbles. Available in 11.2oz cans, 16.9z cans and on draft at your favorite bars and restaurants, this all combines for a moment of pure pilsner enjoyment.

My favorite German beer! I try to keep it stocked at the house, but it's so good it never lasts long.
I just discovered it is the best beer I have ever had for accompanying a steamed crab session. Superb!
